Sunshine Coast FC committed to Female Football.

SCFC has since it was established lobbied hard for the advancement of female football. Club Managing Director Noel Woodall has already announced that it is the Clubs ambition to gain a W League Licence as its first step into the top division of Football in Australia. Clearly if we are to be a Club that is successful in developing top female players we must start with our Junior female players today. To demonstrate the Clubs commitment to female football the Club has guaranteed that in every 7 to 10 male age group academy team a minimum of two positions will be reserved for females. These positions are on top of the 11 and 12 year old all female squad.

Also as an added incentive for girls to try out for the teams the Club will offer one year coaching scholarship (clothing excluded) to two of the brightest female talents identified by our Clubs coaching staff at the trials in the 9 and 12 age groups. Full player requirements of the scholarships will be provided on the offer being made.
